The Southern Pines Police Department provided the following information.

Arrests

Aug. 18: Tiffany Nicollette Dowdy, 23, of Carthage, shoplifting.

Aug. 20: Carrie Graham Brown, 51, of Southern Pines, worthless check.

Aug. 21: Xavier Jacob Frye, 17, of Southern Pines, fail to appear; Merrin Curtis Lowe, 31, of Carthage, larceny.

Aug. 25: Steve Murchison Jr., 20, of Southern Pines, probation violation.

Aug. 26: Wendy Stephanie Parker, 24, of Aberdeen, drug possession; Micah Randolph Bowens, 33, of Southern Pines, probation violation; John Lamont Thompson, 54, of Southern Pines, fail to appear (order for arrest); Dereck Keenen Taylor, 22, of Pinehurst, second degree trespass.

Reports

Aug. 18: Female, 23, reported someone forced entry into a home and robbed them at gunpoint of identification cards, telephones, medications and computer equipment.

Aug. 20: Female, 68, reported the theft of prescription medication from a medical facility in the 200 block of Pinehurst Avenue; Male, 57, reported the theft of a bicycle from behind a building in the 100 block of Shady Lane; Male, 39, reported the theft of a vending machine and money from a business in the 100 block of Aro Road.

Aug. 22: Female, 35, reported someone threatened a 75-year-old man during an incident at a home in the 100 block of South Hardin; An individual resisted arrest, attempted to run over an officer and fled during an incident in the 1200 block of West New York Avenue.

Aug. 23: Female, 59, reported someone stole, altered and then cashed a check during an incident at a gas station in the 100 block of Sandy Avenue.

Aug. 24: Female, 62, reported the theft of assorted jewelry from a home in the 100 block of James Creek Road; Female, 18, reported she was choked, punched and threatened during an incident at a home in the 500 block of Edinboro Drive; Male, 52, reported someone cut the tires on his 1997 Chevy parked in the 100 block fo Murray Hill Road; Female, 55, reported someone threw a rock through a window at a home in the 100 clock of Dean Avenue.

Aug. 25: Female, 29, reported someone attempted to enter her home in the 300 block of Shaw Avenue; Female, 50, reported someone used an email account to attempt to obtain money; Female, 29, reported a unidentified individual was molested during an incident at a home in the 300 block of Shaw Avenue.

Aug. 26: An unidentified victim reported another engaged in a sex act with a juvenile at a home in the 100 block of Russet Court; Male, 46, reported that someone pointed a gun at him during an incident at Mr. D’s Take-a-way, 360 Shaw Avenue.
