The Moore County Sheriff’s Office provided the following information.
Reports
Aug. 19: Male, 53, reported someone kicked in the door of a home on Tuckaway Lane, Eagle Springs, and removed eight rifles, four shotguns, a pellet rifle, a handgun, fixed-blade knives and a bass guitar; Male, 27, reported someone entered a home on Clegg Lane, Carthage, and removed a video game console, a video game and a watch; Male, 39, reported the theft of a motorized dirt bike from a home on South Plank Road, Cameron; Male, 54, reported someone broke into a home on Holly Circle, Carthage, and removed a shotgun, a pellet gun, costume jewelry, a video game console, a silver tea set, a compound bow and arrows, an antique law enforcement badge and a scooter; Male, 48, reported someone broke into a 2002 Toyota and removed a fishing tackle box, two fishing rods and reels and a set of golf clubs.
Aug. 20: Female, 51, reported a known person entered her home on Borden Road, Carthage, and removed a pocketbook and cash; An employee of Edscape Inc., Omni Drive, West End, reported someone kicked in the back door of the business and removed assorted power tools, a dirt bike, fishing equipment, cash and a two GPS units.
Aug. 21: Female, 48, reported the theft of a dog from a home on Richland Creek Lane.
Aug. 22: Male, 51, reported the theft of two battery-powered drill sets from a home on L. Cooper Road, Cameron; Female, 50, reported someone took a 2011 Mazda from a home on McKenzie Lane, Aberdeen; Female, 47, reported receiving unwanted phone calls and emails at a home on Underwood Road, Carthage; Female, 28, reported another used the victim’s credit card to make unauthorized purchases on the Internet; Male, 44, reported the theft of a leaf blower from a home on Vass-Carthage Road, Carthage.
