Two Arrested in Connection With Dirt Bike Theft

Two Robbins men are charged in connection with a theft of a dirt bike reported on Aug. 8, according to the Moore County Sheriff's Department.

Josiah Dunlap, 19, and Deven Gilmore, 16, both of 381 Virginia St., Robbins were both charged with felony larceny of a motor vehicle. Dunlap was also charged with possession of stolen property and Gilmore was also charged with possession of stolen goods.

Dunlap was placed in the Moore County Jail under a $4,000 secured bond. Dunlap has a first appearance set for Sept. 7 in Moore County district court.

Gilmore was given a written promise to appear in court and has a first appearance in Moore County District Court on the same date.

The arrests stem from an investigation into a report of a stolen Yamaha dirt bike made on Aug. 8 by Lisa Allred of the Robbins area.

On Aug. 13 investigators located Allred's dirt bike and another ATV that was stolen from Randolph County at the residence of Dunlap and Gilmore.

Sheriff's investigators with the help of Robbins police arrest the two teens on Aug. 23.
