The National Democratic Party’s platform committee has endorsed homosexual marriage, as did President Obama, and called for repeal of a federal law recognizing marriage as between a man and a woman.
They have awakened a sleeping giant!
The first sign of this great awakening was the recent response by Christians everywhere to liberal Democrat mayors in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, etc., opposing Chick-fil-A coming to their city, because “their values are not our values.”
North Carolina has joined more than 30 other states in passing a constitutional amendment endorsing the federal law. I agree with Dr. Larry H. Ellis, who recently wrote in The Pilot, saying:
“The passion of liberals is for a social gospel to overcome poverty, racism, injustice and war, and they cannot proclaim ‘thus saith the Lord.’”
Millions of Americans believe we are headed in the wrong direction on issues such as life, marriage and religious freedom. Christians hold the key to the upcoming election.

You want to talk about people awake and angry, just start asking women about Todd Akins' "if it's legitimate rape, women can't get pregnant," then stand back.
And its not lost on them that Paul Ryan co-sponsored a lot of anti-choice legislation with Akin.
Let's see....gays, women, Latinos, and African Americans, all energized by the Romney Ryan Hate a Palooza. I wouldn't be counting my chickens just yet, sir.

You have to forgive AFCHIEF - he had brain surgery a few years ago and because they couldn't find anything to "surgerize" (yes - I know it's not a word) they put a cantaloupe in the empty space. Seems ever since, he has been a right wing conservative.

I'm still trying to figure out how an experianced politicion could say something so fundamentaly stupid, could it be that Gaffmaster Bidens liberal senility is catching? Sounds great BentPan, yea im not to sure about the Akin thing. I think he still might win down there but it will be very hard. As to the gay thing, I just had dinner with a gay man who was more conservative then I am, apparently you cant group people so easy. (BTW he voted to uphold traditional marrige)

To the state, marriage is a legal contract. To the church, marriage is a sacrament. If the state wants to define it differently than the church, that is a matter for the citizens and their government to decide, not the church. If you are a believer, then don't worry about how the state defines marriage, because the church will continue to adhere to the traditional view. You do not need to impose your religion on my government or all the other citizens it represents.
