Do you know a woman in the village of Whispering Pines who has unselfishly donated her time and talents to help others in the Sandhills community?

Each year the Whispers organization honors one nominee with the Martha Hardee Award for community service.

Past recipients include Mary Galtere, Jean Fisher, Sharon Mathias, Nancy Kendrick and Marge Tovey.

This year's selection will be announced Wednesday, Oct. 10, at the regular Whispers' luncheon meeting held at the Country Club of Whispering Pines dining room

Nomination forms may be picked up at the village hall or by simply writing up information regarding your nominee and mailing it to: Hardee Award Committee, 156 Pine Lake Drive, Whispering Pines, NC 28327

Deadline for nominations is Sept. 12.
