Cartoon Idea

My idea for a political cartoon is the following:

On the left side we see President Obama shaking his finger at the crowd on the right side of the cartoon. He says, “Real credit for your success belongs not to you — you think you did well because of your smarts and your sweat?—but to government that built the infrastructure without which you would have nothing.”

The crowd he is mocking is made up of all the world Olympic medal winners who have their medals around their necks and hands on their hips, replying, “Oh, yeah?”

Cute idea ! Here's another : a regular guy, one like you see working at your local grocery or retail store is yoked like a beast of burden and hitched to a wagon. On the wagon, riding in leisure are Romney and his Bain associates, maybe Donald Trump and Warren Buffett for good measure. They are waving a flag that proclaims "Yippee, extended tax breaks for us !"

Ms. Wilson, that would be a very good cartoon if the Olympic medal winners had been able to accomplish their goals with no help from anyone else. (which, of course, was the message President Obama was presenting in his comments)
