On Saturday, Sept. 8, the Carolina Philharmonic will host its third annual gala at the Pinehurst Fair Barn to support its educational outreach programs for the youth of Moore County.
Chaired by two Pinehurst couples, Jean and Paul Higgins and Ellen and Billy "Bag-O-Donuts" Brown, this year's theme will be "The Sky's the Limit!"
David Michael Wolff, principal conductor and artistic director of the Carolina Philharmonic, has planned a program of exceptional music. An elegant dinner, prepared by chef Mark Elliott, will precede a live auction and 50/50 raffle.
Founded three years ago by Wolff, the Carolina Philharmonic is establishing one of the most ambitious educational outreach programs in the state, including master classes, concerto competitions, youth orchestra workshops and joint productions with youth orchestras.
Tickets are $100 per person. Seating is limited; black tie is optional.
For reservations call: (910) 687-4746 or visit www. carolinaphil.org.
