Moore County Sheriff's investigators have arrested two Pinebluff men and charged them in connection with an assault and robbery that happened on March 28.

The arrests stem from an investigation into a report of a robbery from James Mimes, who reported that two black males assaulted him and took his shoes while he was walking on Addor Road.
McLean received a $5,000 unsecured bond and has a first court appearance on April 26, 2012 in Moore County District Court in Carthage, N.C.
Core received a $1,000 unsecured bond and his first court appearance is scheduled for April 19, 2012 in Moore County District Court in Carthage, N.C.

Do not criticize a man until you have walked a mile in his shoes.

Is there nothing sacred anymore, convienient store robberies, car break in's and now shoe bandits,if it was not so sad it might be funny.

Perhaps these two were a little bit more than just shoe bandits?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHe92H...

Were these hoods wearing hoodies?

When folks line up around the block to purchase the latest $250.00 sneaker, stuff like this will follow. Wearing "THE" current hot foot fashion is like walking around with hundred dollar bills taped to the back of your hoodie.

emb6683, Be careful,it sure takes very little these days to have the site shut down for comments, any reference to hoodies is a infraction of the rules as was demonstrated last week, government controlled media frowns on certain post that could bring about a firestorm of rebuttals from hoodie fans.

Let us not forget the coward that knocked a 96 year old women down at Harris Teeters just for her purse! I think he was wearing a hoodie per the police report.

Do not criticize a man until you have walked a mile in his shoes.
Because by then, you're a mile away from him, and he can't chase you because you have his shoes.

We might try as punishment for some of these type crime to just have them walk around with a sign indicating what crime they have committed for 10 hours a day in different locations around the county instead of locking them up and feeding them, the embarrassment alone would make any criminal think twice abut using Moore County as a feeding ground, I would think that this would be more economical and eliminate some of these type crimes .

Because nothing says success like a pair of stolen sneakers. Tragic. And so sad.

And at the rate the area is developing ,it's going to get much worse. Wish it were possible to slow it down.

@deepcreek," Wish it were possible to slow it down", We could if instead of having a judicial system that send them back out onto our streets with a slap in wrist but a sentence that would deter them from thinking about cimmitting crimes in the first place, there are many forms of senetences that do not require lock up and having to pay for their incarceration yet are far more harsh and less exspensive and all with in our rights to have handed down by these judges who have grown lax in their manner of handling these criminals, probation does not scare the average would be future criminal but to some is a status symbol having made the grade to qualify them as a mentor within their group, you are correct in assuming it will get worse just look at Durham, and Wake counties,Sanford is also a crime infested area,do nothing now and we will have the same here.

This is why it is important to always carry a grenade or two with you when you walk. Simply place it in one of the shoes after you take them off for the thieves. walk away assuring them that they won. Now, we will have to check and see if this is legal, so don't do it until sure. Ok ...not legal, but a roadrunner fun thought.

Stand your ground seems to be something this state needs to consider, just look at the crimes committed in the last several weeks around here and who are the perps,it might be the only way even the odds.

There is no certain race committing crimes they all are.
cantstandya 1 year, 1 month ago
@ladylane, Your correct in that assumption but the type and overwhelming numbers of one is very obvious, not bringging race into this other than those are real facts not motivated by anything other than the truth and can be easily confirmed by just reading everyday arrest records and crime reports,we do have all races involved as you stated I have no arguement for that but lets just be honest in the numbers by just one at a time and start there and then work on the next instead of giving any of them a racial outlet to hide behind, denial has been a lingering problem that has to be confronted.

Haven't seen any Aleuts reported yet, but maybe up in Nome thay are committing crimes.

I suggest we send these criminals to Arizona for a few years, just to see if they like it out there in the Jail.

Seems as if many are reserving their rooms at the new detention center, might as well go on with the additional rooms the bookings are starting to fill up at a rate much like the Pinehurst hotel during the Open.
