The Sandhills Lions Club recently held its semi-annual food drive to benefit the Sandhills/Moore Coalition for Human Care at Lowes Foods in Pinehurst.
The 122 bags of staple food items (estimated at about $3,000) donated by the shoppers will go a long way to help those in need. The Sandhills/Moore Coalition "Food Bank" serves about 460 families every month and about 7,500 people received food in 2011.
"Over the past years the shoppers at Lowes Foods have been very generous and this year was no different," says a spokesman. "One of the highlights of the day was when a young girl delivered a bag filled with her savings of pennies, nickels and dimes, totaling $14.02, because she wanted to help needy families. The family that returned to the store with several bags of food from home."
Sandhills Lions Club President Bill Koontz says, "We have to extend our thanks to two O'Neal School seventh-graders, Devon and George, for their help."

Search online for "Official Samples" if you are looking for famous brands samples. It is the best and I always have success.
