N.C. State Ballet Performs in Fayetteville

The North Carolina State Ballet, directed by Charlotte Blume, will perform "Ballet Classics" Sunday, April 22, at 3 p.m. at the Crown Center Theatre in Fayetteville.
The company will perform Act I and Act II of "Swan Lake." Guest artists Melody Staples Hammel and her partner, Jon Tabbert, star as Odette and Prince Siegfried.
Hammel was formerly principal dancer with the Charleston Ballet Theatre.
"Venus, The Bringer of Peace," choreographed by assistant director Wei Ni, will be featured in the second portion of the performance. This is the debut performance of his new work.
Variations from Tchaikovsky's "Sleeping Beauty" ballet complete the program.

Tickets are $16 at the Crown Center Box Office or online through ticketmaster.com. A military discount is available at the Crown Center Box office with ID.
