The Union Pines junior varsity football team lost 35-18 to Western Harnett, Thursday at Woodrow Wilhoit Stadium in Cameron.
After one half of play, the visiting Eagles led 14-6 in the Cape Fear Valley Conference (CFVC) contest.
Western widened its margin to 28-6 with two touchdowns to start the second half.
Through three quarters of action the visitors led 35-12.
With the loss the Vikings' record moved to 1-4 overall and 0-3 in CFVC play.
