Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann is stumping in Moore County today to generate local support for her Republican presidential campaign.

Bachmann came to Pinehurst Thursday night to speak at event to raise money for the Moore County Republican Party in the Member’s Club at Pinehurst Resort. Organizers originally insisted that media not be allowed to cover the fundraiser, but officials later relented when several media outlets showed up for the event.

This morning, she held a “meet-and-greet” event at the Country Club of North Carolina before heading off for a round of golf on the country club’s Dogwood Course with a few supporters.

As she greeted supporters and stepped onto the course wearing a pink CCNC visor, Bachmann said she could understand why so many of her fellow Minnesotans come to Moore County to retire.

“It's a slice of heaven and paradise,” she said. “It’s absolutely beautiful. It’s beautiful, but it's also graciousness. This is really part of the best that America is — to come here and see what America has been able to build up. So, it's fun to come here with like-minded people and to share their joy.”

During her keynote address Thursday night, Bachmann told supporters that she expects Republicans to win big in the 2012 elections.

Subject: Keep on "TRUSTING" in the FREEDOM OF THE PRESS and your students will "NEVER" be "LOOKING FOR A GOOD DAY!" Date: 09-30-11 11.57 am sjbeverage@gmail.com

I don't suppose she is aware of what a ruckus I'm causing in Charlotte. I've posted twice on the topmost interesting stories in the CHARLOTTE OBSERVER, without drawing a single comment!!!

Keep on "TRUSTING" in the FREEDOM OF THE PRESS and your students will "NEVER" be "LOOKING FOR A GOOD DAY!"

Excerpts:

"For the most part, the GOP officeholders, activists and business leaders at the Perry and Bachmann events - both closed to the news media - liked what they saw and heard."

That ain't news to me!!! For decades the GOP officeholders, activists and business leaders have tucked their heads between their knees, and prayed over and over: “Lord, forgive me for my sins" with "BIG CROCODILE TEARS", when searching for a new superintendent to take the blame for students "NOT LOOKING FOR A GOOD DAY!"

THE FOLLOWING SEEKS TO CHANGE THAT!!!

sj, go into your bathroom. Open the medicine cabinet. Find the little bottle labeled "Ritalin". Take the recommended dosage. Stay indoors until you feel better.

Probably not since most in the high dollar district think that the Poorer County line stops at Carthage. They refer to Robbins as "those people who live up north ..."

She was at the Member's Club in Pinehurst to speak on Thursday nite and at CCNC to play golf,... and loves our beautiful area, but I betcha she never got a tour of Robbins and the other part of what Tommy calls Poorer County. It sounds like she was here just to raise money and play golf.

Hope none of her golf shots hit any of the course workers, she might have made a hole in Juan.

She has never played golf in her life and she didn't play yesterday. How do I know? I was hired to photograph her, she followed some golfers through a few shots in a meet and greet. It amazes me how people who don't the facts tell things as fact.

The article said she headed off to play a round of golf with supporters.... Oh well. So much for the inaccurate reporting...

I'm sure if she hit a ball it would slice way to the right.

"So, it's fun to come here with like-minded people and to share their joy."

Yeah, it's great when you are at the Member's Club and people throw money at you. They do that at Pure Gold too....

"her fellow Minnesotans come to Moore County to retire"

Oh no ... no more transplants. I wonder if she will remember where she was next week? I bet she can strike a few "balls", with a limp club.

So nice of you to offer her your club.
