Pinebluff Lions Plan Barbecue

The Pinebluff Lions Club will hold its annual fall barbecue and bake sale Friday, Sept. 30, at the Lions Clubhouse.
Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Supper will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. Barbecue, cole slaw, paprika potatoes, hushpuppies and iced tea will be served for only $7.
Various cakes, pies and pastries will also be available at a nominal cost.
As always, Lions Club brooms will be for sale. The "Pinebluff Lions Cookbook" is also available at $5 each.
A drawing will be held for a $100 Savings Bond donated by the First Bank of Pinebluff and the Pinebluff Lions Club.
Businesses and people interested in obtaining plates can call in their requests to the following phone numbers: (910) 281-5410 or (910) 281-5500.
"You can also leave messages concerning requests for plates on voice mail at the same numbers," says a spokesman. "The Pinebluff Lions are collecting used eyeglasses, hearing aids and printer cartridges. If you have any of these items, please drop them off when you pick up your barbecue plate."
The clubhouse is located at 165 W. Philadelphia Ave., Pinebluff.
