"Whether you are an established vendor or just getting started, the fall season is the perfect time of year to set up a booth and sell your handmade projects - and Autumnfest is the perfect place to do it," says Sue Gillis, of the Southern Pines Recreation and Parks Department.

The 33rd annual Autumnfest is slated for Saturday, Oct. 1 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Downtown Park, Southern Pines. The annual festival features foot races (l mile, 5K), youth sprint races, children's activities, handcrafted items, food and stage entertainment.

Autumnfest is sponsored by Southern Pines Recreation & Parks Department and the Arts Council of Moore County, Aberdeen Coca-Cola, Sprint, Johnny O's Awards, Sandhills Trophy and Sports of Troy, Sandhills Race Series, Sandhills Striders and FirstHealth Fitness Center.
