Union Pines High School will be conducting the first of two fall basketball clinics on Saturday, Oct. 1.

The first clinic takes place from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on the floor of Bob Ward Gymnasium at Union Pines’ campus in Cameron, with Viking boys’ head coach Nick Boney serving as lead instructor.

It is open to all students currently in third through fifth grade (both boys and girls), with a cost of $40 per camper that includes a T-shirt.

The second clinic takes place Saturday, Oct. 15, and is open to all sixth through eighth graders.

This clinic will have the same starting time and ending time as the first clinic, along with the same $40 cost per camper, which includes a T-shirt.

Campers at each clinic will participate in several skill specialization sessions, including ball handling, shooting, passing and defense. All campers should plan to wear appropriate basketball gear.

Pre-registration forms for the clinics are available online at Union Pines High School’s website. On-site registration is also available on the mornings of both clinics.

For more information about either clinic, contact Boney at (910) 947-5511 or by email at nboney@ncmcs.org.
