The Union Pines Vikings topped Overhills 4-0 in a Cape Fear Valley Conference match Wednesday at Woodrow Wilhoit Stadium.
With the victory the Vikes improved to 2-0 in league play and 3-4-1 overall.
Adam Howard scored on an assist by Evan Lindsay to get the home team on the board in the seventh minute.
Later, Lindsay found the back of the net in the 16th minute after receiving a pass from P.J. Schmittdiel.
At intermission the score stood at 2-0 in favor of Union Pines.
In the 60th minute, Austin Beers scored an unassisted goal to push the margin to 3-0, and six minutes later Howard scored for a second time in the tilt, with Matt Copper getting credit for an assist.
The Vikings return to the pitch Monday when Gray's Creek makes its way to Cameron for a 7 p.m. league contest.
