Museum Offers Online Courses for Teachers

The N.C. Museum of History in Raleigh offers six-week online workshops for educators.
Teachers can earn continuing education credit , boost their knowledge of North Carolina topics and get ideas for classroom activities. These self-paced workshops are available to public, private and home-school educators. The workshops cost $40 each.
Workshops include: Legends of North Carolina, Oct. 15-Dec. 1; Civil Rights in North Carolina, Dec. 1,-Jan. 15; Antebellum North Carolina, Jan. 15-March 1; Stories From the Civil War, March 1-April 15; Brother Can You Spare a Dime? The 1930s in North Carolina, April 15-June 1; North Carolina Geography, June 1-July 15; African-American Life and Culture in North Carolina History, July 15-Sept. 1.
