The Missoula Children's Theatre production of "The Tortoise Versus the Hare" was held Friday, Oct. 7, and Saturday, Oct. 8, at Aberdeen Elementary School Auditorium at 7 p.m.
Local children in the cast were Elise Wiggins, as Coach Shelly Bowlback; Michaella Campbell, as Curly Hare; Camille Hutchins, as Nigel; Holly Riedesel, as Reginald; Page Newsome, as Kensington; Bailey Byers, as Wellesly; Josh Ely, as Bailey Blues; Kelsey Blatz, as Cupcake O'Rourke; Hanna Boyer, as Stormy Weather; Scott Wilder, as Guido; Lydia Riedesel, Sierra Stefanelli, Calli Frye, Madeline Bradley, Ella Clark, Bethany Ely and Olivia Campbell, as Reptiles, Luke Owens, Felix Hutchins and Austin Newsome, as Mammals; Jocelyn Wiggins, as Sleazel Weazel; Ado Bianco, as Queazel Weasel; Emory Bradley, as Mrs. Esther Bunny; Nora Waters, as Bonnie Bunny; Blade Berk, Robert Owen and Garyn Parker, as Curly's Posse; Bryn Hutchins, Rachel Ely, Harriett Hutchins and Sally Meany, as Curly Hare Fan Club. Catherine Clark served as volunteer stage coordinator.
The Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT) touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. Megan Wiltshire and John-Thomas Appling, who serve as actors and directors of the MCT production, conducted rehearsals throughout the week from 3:30 to 7:30 each day.
