Falcons Fall in Girls' Tennis

O’Neal dropped a 7-2 girls’ tennis match Tuesday to visiting conference rival Fayetteville Academy.
Grayson Keel picked up the only singles win for the Falcons, defeating Sita Chandra 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles. In doubles, Keel paired with Maggie Hakas to pick up an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles. They defeated Huda McGraw and Emma McCauley.
In other singles, O’Neal’s Hakas lost 6-1, 6-1 to Huda McGraw, Ally Hoehn-Saric lost 6-2, 6-1 to Sophia McGraw, Dana Averbook lost 6-1, 6-0 to Emma McCauley, Lacia Core lost 6-3, 6-1 to Victoria Morgan and Katherine McMurray lost to Kitty Scott 6-3, 6-1.
In other doubles, Hoehn-Sarica nd Averbook lost 8-1 to S. McGraw and Morgan, and Katie Salloum and Nicole Basile lost to Chandra and Scott 8-3.
O’Neal dropped to 1-6 (1-4 in the Cape Fear Independent Conference). Fayetteville Academy is now 1-8 (1-3).
