A Carthage woman faces charges of obtaining controlled prescription pills by fraud.
Moore County Sheriff’s investigators arrested Rhonda Lynn Hancock, 31, of the 100 block of Richland Creek, and charged her with four counts of felony obtaining controlled substance by misrepresentation to a healthcare provider.
Hancock received a $10,000 secured bond and was placed in the Moore County jail.
The arrest resulted from an investigation by the sheriff’s office narcotics unit and involved an individual obtaining hydrocodone prescription pills by misrepresentation to a health care provider. Hydrocodone is a Schedule II controlled substance.
