Patriots Fall to Swett in Volleyball

The Pinecrest volleyball team lost its first Southeastern Conference match of the season to a team other than Scotland High at Purnell Swett Thursday evening.
The Patriots dropped to 5-3 in the league and 16-6 overall after a 24-26, 25-19, 25-20 and 25-21 loss to the Rams. Amber Goodwin had 15 kills and Felicia Painter had nine for the Pats. Megan Thomas and Callie Boone were credited with 15 and 14 assists, respectively. Keegan Lynch had 14 digs and Rae Nunez had eight.
