Mustang Boys Move to 4-1 in League Soccer

The North Moore boys’ soccer team traveled to North Rowan Thursday night and came back home with a 9-0 victory.

The Mustangs dominated play throughout the entire game, allowing only two shots on goal in the Yadkin Valley Conference encounter.

Mustang coach Michael Shamberger substituted liberally, resulting in nine different players scoring for North Moore. Scoring goals for the Mustangs were Edgar Catalan, Gerbacio Cabrera, Oliver Castrejon, Luis Solache, Pedro Ugarte, Juan Garcia, Rolando Catalan, Roque Popoca and Cesar Rojo.

Garcia, Oliver Castrejon and Catalan split time in goal.

Assists were provided by Popoca, with three, Alejandro Mendoza, with two, and one each for Ugarte and Brandon Ambriz.

With the win the Mustangs moved to 4-1 in conference play and 5-4 overall. Their next game is Monday at home against Gray Stone.
