Fayetteville State University (FSU) and the Department of Performing and Fine Arts present a Christmas Holiday Spectacular in Seabrook Auditorium on Dec. 4, at 4 p.m.
Featuring FSU faculty, students, alumni, community members and local celebrity storyteller, Mitch Capel, the evening's mix of festivities promises to be a true collaboration between the university and the community. The holiday celebration is under the choral direction of Denise Payton, FSU choir director; the artistic direction of Susan Paschal, FSU theater faculty; and with technical direction by Dave Griffie, also of the FSU theater faculty.
The evening features a variety of holiday "gifts" ranging from an assortment of musical selections from the FSU band, string, brass and percussion ensembles, a variety of dance and choral choices, a medley of Laurence Dunbar's poetry as performed by Mitch Capel and a dazzling light show extraordinaire.
General admission is $5 for all. Call the FSU ticket office at (910) 672-1724. Tickets are only $2 at the door if you bring a donation of toys, clothes or small electronics to benefit the children and families in the ASPIRE program.
