In her spare time, she runs a community coalition in the house where her grandmother, Cora Lee Person, raised her in Eagle Springs.
The house, named Cora's House: A Vision of Hope Community Outreach Program, offers various programs to help strengthen and support the surrounding community.
Besides serving as a clothing and donation bank, the center also runs a health club, and a senior citizens club that includes an outreach and support program, as well as a 4-H Club.
Dunn also organizes events that bring the community together. Last summer, she held a community softball game, and she plans to hold a basketball tournament this December.
With the support of her husband, Lee, her six children and others in the community, Dunn has spent the last 10 years establishing Cora's House as a refuge in an area where few supportive non-profit organizations are located.
For Dunn, her mission honors her grandmother, who always emphasized the importance of helping others in daily life.

I share the same question as ladylane.....how can we help? There are so many negative news stories anymore, I would love to support someone who is putting positive energy into the world.
