"November is a great time to be thinking of Christmas," says a spokesman for the Whispering Pines Thrift Shop. "The store is still filled with great Christmas items - decorations, stocking stuffers and clothing."

Household items with white tags dated before Oct. 1 and all books are on sale. Every week there are colored tag sales.

Starting Dec. 1, blue-tagged items will be half price, and purple-tagged items will be $1.

The store will be closed on Nov. 23-24. It will also be closed from Dec. 25 through Jan. 1.

"Your purchases help support local charities," says the spokesman.
