A grand opening for a new Dairy Queen-Orange Julius restaurant in the Kangaroo Express at 2531 N.C. 87 South in Cameron will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday.

The grand opening will feature games, face-painting and raffles, including a chance to win an iPod Touch, an Android tablet and four tickets and a parking pass for a Carolina Hurricanes hockey game.

Also, from Kangaroo Express fuel partner Marathon, there is also a chance to win free gas for a year - a prize equating to $50 of fuel each week for 52 weeks. To enter the drawing, guests must fill out raffle tickets, which will be available at 8 a.m. Thursday. The winner will be announced during the 5 p.m. hour of the grand opening celebration.
