Ridiculous Regulation

I went to pick my child up from middle school last Friday to sign him out 30 minutes early for an appointment. I was told I could not sign him out because I had not sent a note with him.

I said, “You mean to tell me you cannot release my child to me?”

The reply was, “No, not without a note. That would be disrupting the class.”

I could not believe it. When did this law take place? Why was I not informed? And suppose your child did have a note and forgot to give it to the teacher?

In my opinion, it’s already a disruption when the child has to get up and leave the class. I am outraged.

I hope you said "Scr3w you", left for the class & took your kid out. Oh, & maybe left a note on your kids desk. Don't let the school bully you.

I would be interested to hear the schools side of this story.

If a parent shows up to pick up a student a note should not be required. It sounds like someone on an authority kick.
