Social media such as Facebook, YouTube or Twitter are playing an increasing role in our personal online lives.

It is only logical this fact has spilled over to the business world. More and more companies employ media such as a "FAN" page on Facebook or a channel on YouTube as one of their major marketing tools.

A series of seminars will help businesses learn how to utilize effective strategies and improve their return on investment by successfully using a palette of social media platforms.

Tangram Media is once again offering its popular free three-part social media seminar for businesses that build upon each other and offer hands-on experience.

It will be held in the computer lab in room 154 of Little Hall at Sandhills Community College. The schedule is:

n Nov. 21-Advanced Facebook for business

The seminars begin at 6 p.m. Advanced registration is required.
