Pushing the Bypass

NCDOT Deputy Secretary Ted Vaden stated “there is no route on a map now” for a U.S. 1 bypass. The operative words are, of course, “is” and “now.”
NCDOT proposed maps in 2002 and 2006 of a bypass highway through the Walthour-Moss Foundation, Horse Country and eastern Aberdeen. NCDOT is again pushing for a U.S. 1 bypass and, rather than resign ourselves to this destruction, we need to encourage our local officials to stand up for our communities against NCDOT.

Perhaps you should ask Fred Walden whom is running for town council again what he thinks of the US1 bypass.
