A Vass man faces more sexual assault charges involving underage females, according to a press release from the Moore County Sheriff's Office.

Charles Andrew Furr, Jr., 33, of Digger Drive, Vass, was arrested in March and investigators charged him with three counts of indecent liberties with a child, three counts of sexual battery, one count of assault on a child under 12 and two counts of assault on a female. He was jailed, with bail set at $500,000 on March 18.

The latest charges come from a report of a sexual assault involving a 15-year-old female, according to the release.

In addition to the earlier charges, Furr was charged Thursday with attempted statutory rape 13-, 14-, 15-year-old by person more than 6 years older, attempted statutory sexual offense of 13-, 14-, 15-year-old by person more than 6 years older, three counts of indecent liberties with a child, three counts of sexual battery and three counts of assault  on a female, according to the release.

Furr remains in jail, with his bail now set at $550,000.
