The Village of Pinehurst finance staff will present the proposed budget to the council tonight during its work session.

The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. and will be held in the conference room of Village Hall.

The $15.9 million recommended budget maintains the current ad valorem tax rate of $0.28 per $100 valuation. It also includes 3.2 fewer full-time employees. The budget doesn’t recommend the elimination of any additional positions. Merit pay raises averaging 2 percent are provided for employees in the budget.

A meeting to continue discussing the proposed budget will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the council conference room of Village Hall.
