Southern Pines police arrested a man Tuesday on drug charges while serving an order of arrest for a probation violation, according to a press release.

Ronald Terrell Barnes, 23, of Southern Pines, was charged with possess with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver Schedule VI controlled substance, possession of Schedule VI controlled substance and a probation violation, according to the release.

The arrest stemmed from officers arresting Barnes on a probation violation and finding marijuana during that arrest, according to the release.

Barnes was jailed, with bail set at $20,000.
