Moore County Community Foundation Accepts Grant Applications

The board of directors of the Moore County Community Foundation will be accepting grant requests for community projects funded from its community fund through May 31.

Applications are available online at www.nccommunityfoundation.org/grantsandscholorships./Moore County. This is the first year grant applications are being made available online.

The Moore County Community Foundation is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation (NCCF) and was established to help support local charitable needs through annual grants.

In addition to Board President Hugh Bingham, Moore County Community Foundation board members are: Ellen Airs, Cos Barnes, Betsy Best, Farrell Bushing, Pidgie Chapman, Hugh Hinton Jr., Stephen Later, Louise Lucas, Kelly McCrann, John Mecimore, Randall Phillips, William Samuels, Peggy Richardson Sarvis and William Saunders.

The NCCF is the single statewide community foundation serving North Carolina and has made nearly $63 million in grants since its inception in 1988. With more than $130 million in assets, the NCCF sustains 1,000 endowments established to provide long-term support of a broad range of community needs, nonprofit organizations, institutions and scholarships. The NCCF partners with 60 affiliate foundations to provide local resource allocation and community assistance in 66 counties across the state. An important component of the Foundation's mission is to ensure that rural philanthropy has a voice at local, regional and national levels.
