Operation Medicine Drop Begins March 21

Operation Medicine Drop will return to Moore County later this month through a partnership of law enforcement agencies and the Safe Kids Mid-Carolinas Region.
The public is asked to clean out medicine cabinets and deliver unused and expired medications to one of several drop-off sites. Law enforcement officers will then arrange for disposal of the old drugs to make sure they do not pollute ground water and do not pose a danger to the public.
The drop-off schedule is:
n March 21-25 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily at the Moore County Sheriff's Office in Carthage.
n March 21-25 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily at the Aberdeen Police Department.
n March 22 and March 24 from 1 until 5 p.m. at the new Aberdeen Recreation Station on U.S. 1-15-501.
n March 23 from 4 until 7 p.m. at the Southern Pines Police Department on West Pennsylvania Avenue.
n March 26 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Food Lion in Carthage.
n March 26 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Food Lion in Whispering Pines.
n March 26 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Cooper's Pharmacy in Vass.
n March 25 and March 26 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day at Lowes Food Store in Olmsted Village, Pinehurst.
n March 22 and March 26 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day at the Prescription Shoppe in Seven Lakes.
n March 26 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Lowes Food Store in Robbins.
