Good for Wolferman

For weeks I waited to see, read, hear someone mention the revolutions of 1848 as an analogy to what we are experiencing now in Egypt, Tunisia, etc. To think I finally saw it in Fred Wolfer-man’s Feb. 18 column in our hometown paper instead of The New York Times, Washington Post, various online ’zines and much TV news watching.

Many thanks to Fred for making me think my years of education and teaching were not for naught, that there are still people with a historical perspective, and that small-town papers still produce thoughtful writing.
