Pinebluff Man Arrested for Trafficking in Heroin

A Pinebluff man was arrested Tuesday on numerous drug charges, including trafficking in heroin.

Joseph Gonzalez, 49, of 185 Park Drive, Pinebluff, was arrested after officers from the Moore County Sheriff's Office narcotics and selective enforcement units conducted a search of his residence, according to a press release.

During the search, officers located and seized approximately 58 units of heroin, 13 grams of marijuana, two Percocet prescription pills, 12 grams of suspected hashish, $646 and items of drug paraphernalia, including digital scales, according to the release.

The estimated street value of the drugs seized is $1,900, according to the release.

Gonzalez was charged with felony trafficking in heroin, felony possession of heroin, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver heroin, possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, felony maintaining a dwelling to keep controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the release.

He was jailed, with bail set at $150,000.
