Pinehurst residents will get two opportunities this week to learn about and offer input on a preliminary plan designed to enhance the village center and improve the streetscape and parking.
This first of two meetings will be held at 11 a.m. today and the second will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday. Both meetings will be held at Assembly Hall at Pinehurst Village Hall.
The meeting will be consist of a presentation on the proposal followed by a question and answer session for residents.
The plan proposes land for a possible expansion of the Given Memorial Library and Tufts Archives, a creation of an open green space area, a shift of the sand parking lot and some streetscaping.
Proponents say the plan will add parking, improve the connectivity between the Village Green and the downtown businesses, while streamlining traffic flow in certain areas.
The proposal has been presented to council and in two other public meetings.
