Peter V. Campbell, of Whispering Pines, and Rebecca A. Whitmire, of Cleveland, Tenn., announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica E. Campbell, to Jonathan Cameron, both of Southern Pines.

The groom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fairley Cameron, of Pinehurst, and the grandson of Elva Cameron, of Cameron, and the late Coynell Cameron, and the late Joe and Hazel Durham, formerly of Aberdeen.

An October 2011 wedding is planned in Southern Pines.
