Southern Pines Men Face Drug Charges

Two Southern Pines men were arrested recently after a search of a residence yielded cocaine and marijuana.

Derrick Delmont Malloy, 28, and Lee Marvin Harris, 25, were arrested after officers with the Moore County Sheriff's Office narcotics task force and investigators from the Southern Pines police conducted an investigation after receiving reports of narcotics sales taking place at a home located at 1030 W. Illinois Ave., Southern Pines, according to a press release. The investigation ended with the a search of the residence. Malloy was arrested without incident at the home, while Harris was arrested later in the evening, according to the release.

Both were charged with possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, possession of less than 1/2 ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the press release.

Malloy was jailed, with bail set at $10,000, while Harris was jailed, with bail set at $5,000.
