The National Weather Service in Raleigh is warning of excessive heat today and Saturday.

According to the NWS, the head index values for the next two days are expected to be between 105 and 115 degrees. The temperature is expected to hit triple digits both days, with the highs of 100 degrees to 104 degrees expected.

It doesn't look like the night time will offer much relief from the heat, as the NWS says that the temperature will be slow to cool to 85 before midnight and below 80 by 6 a.m., if it even cools that much at all.

The humidity has stayed very high and feels like walking into an overn when going outside.
