The Sandhills chapter of SCORE, a volunteer service organization providing free management counseling to small businesses, has announced the fall schedule for its popular program of free seminars.

This seminar series, called "Business Basics," is jointly sponsored by SCORE and the Small Business Center at Sandhills Community College. Each seminar will be conducted by an experienced business person selected by SCORE.

The series will be conducted from 6 to 9 p.m. on six consecutive Tuesdays beginning Sept. 6 through Oct. 11 at Sandhills Community College.

Because of the popularity of this seminar series, those intending to attend are encouraged to contact the Small Business Center at Sandhills Community College to indicate their intent. The specific schedule of topics for each Tuesday will be announced shortly.

The six seminar topics include: Do you have the "Right Stuff?", developing a good plan, getting started, obtaining a business loan, accounting for your business and marketing your products and services.

As part of the seminar series, SCORE awards a $75 cash advertising stipend to every business owner who attends all the seminars.

SCORE is a nationwide nonprofit association of experienced business professionals who provide free confidential counseling to small business owners.
