An Aberdeen man is facing charges in connection with a break-in that happened at a home in Moore County.
Moore County Sheriff’s investigators on July 13, arrested Ian Matthew Truman, 35, of Aberdeen, and charged him with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering and possession of stolen goods. and two counts of obtaining property by false pretense, according to a release from the Sheriff's Office.
On July 7, the Moore County Sheriff’s Office received a report from Dawn Wallace in reference to a break-in at her home. She reported multiple pieces of jewelry and a handgun missing from her home. During the investigation the Sheriff’s Office located several pieces of the jewelry at Sandhills Gold & Silver in Aberdeen and at the Jewelsmithe in Southern Pines. The jewelry was returned to Wallace.
Truman was confined to the Moore County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond pending a court date Thursday in Moore County District Court.

Ok, so they recovered the jewelry, what about the handgun? Or is it still out there waiting to be used by another low-life?
