NWS Issues Heat Advisory for Wednesday

The National Weather Service has already issued a heat advisory for Wednesday.

The NWS says that dangerously hot conditions are expected in the Sandhills area Wednesday, with heat index values between 105 and 108 degrees expected during the afternoon.

The high temperatures for the day are expected to crest between 95 and 98 degrees, according to the NWS.

The advisory is in effect from noon until 9 p.m.
