American Legion Recognizes Local Companies

Aberdeen American Legion Post 72 nominated K2 Solutions, Inc. and Fowler Electrical Contractors, Inc. to be recognized for their outstanding achievement for employment of veterans in 2010.
The initial recommendation was made to Post 72 by Mark Adkins, who serves as the veterans’ representative with the Aberdeen Office of the Employment Security Commission and the employment officer of Post 72.
Both received Certificates of Appreciation from the American Legion’s National Economic Commission located in Indianapolis, Ind., K2 Solutions received the award for medium sized employers and Fowler Electrical Contractors won in the small employers category.
The awards were initially presented on June 11 at the North Raleigh Hilton during the American Legion Department of North Carolina’s annual convention. Randy Rhynes of K2 Solutions and Mac Fowler of Fowler Electrical Contractors joined Post 72 during its meeting on July 12 for a second presentation.
Aberdeen American Legion Post 72 is proud to have these outstanding employers as part of the community and is appreciative of their support of the local veterans’ population.
