SP Man Faces Multiple Charges After Dispute

A Southern Pines man is facing multiple charges after his arrest following an investigation into a domestic disturbance on Shaw Avenue, according to Southern Pines Police.

Jovie Marcello Ingram, 29, is charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, assault on a child less than 12 years old, assault on a female and resist, delay or obstructing officers.

Officers responded to the incident on Saturday and attempted to de-escalate the situation, but Ingram interfered continually and was arrested for obstructing officers, according to a release from police.

During the investigation officers recovered a 12-gauge shotgun and ammunition.

The adult victim, who was not identified, was transported to the Emergency Room of First Health Moore Regional with what appeared to be non life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Ingram appeared before a Moore County Magistrate and was remanded to the Moore County Jail under $2,500 secured bond and a 48-hour hold pending a hearing on Aug. 18 in Moore County District Court.
