Sandhills Community College offers a semester that takes only 10 weeks to complete, but students receive a full semester’s worth of instruction.

The spring “mini-mester” begins Feb. 15, and the college is offering more classes than ever before.

Classes are either completely online or hybrid, which is a combination of traditional classroom instruction, with online interaction. They do move along faster than the regular 15-week semester, but no instruction is omitted. The high-quality instruction and number of assignments remain the same.

A reliable computer with an Internet connection is required. Those wishing to take mini-mester classes but do not have a computer can use the computers in the Learning Resources Center in Boyd Library.

These are classes for college credit, not continuing education. New, returning and current Sandhills Community College students can take these classes. New students must complete the steps to admission prior to registering for the classes.

Registration will be from Feb. 1-14 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Stone Hall. Registration can also be completed through e-mail to minimester@sandhills.edu.

To view the complete list of classes, check the college’s website at www.sandhills.edu.
