MIRA Foundation USA gratefully acknowledged Dr. Greg Mincey, Larry Newsome, CEO, and all the Carolina Eye professional saff for their support in the pairing of Cricket and her seeing guide dog, Nipi.

Mincey, president of Carolina Eye Associates, was presented with a frame that included pictures of Cricket, guide dog Nipi and a letter of gratitude.

Cricket stated in her letter, “Please accept my gratitude, Carolina Eye! And a special thank you to Dr. Mincey.”

“There are a large number of legally blind children and adults living in North Carolina and surrounding states who would benefit from having a wonderful guide dog by their side,” says a spokesman.

MIRA Foundation USA was founded by Moore County resident Robert Baillie, himself a guide dog user, as a nonprofit corporation established to provide not only guide dogs but also training and services free of charge to qualified visually impaired individuals.
