Burning valuable copper, yeah that's not too suspicious. Good work by the responding fire units in reporting on these dumb criminals.

The purpose of the fire is to burn the insulation off the wire so it can be sold. I don't think they were trying to burn the metal.

Either way, bad timing on their part and good timing for law enforcement.

onlky thing is no fire units responded, another way for the pilot and law to tell a story

the fire department was paged out to this, personel did check on scene. that would be how the sheriffs office found out about it, so get your facts straight before you go to running your mouth.

Good job to the personnel who caught these guys. I hope that they dont get away with just a slap on the wrist. With harsher punishment for criminals who commit these crimes, we would not read about this in the paper everyday. More than likely they will sit in jail for a while watching tv, eating, sleeping, getting an education, and other things that our tax dollars pay for. Just what we need.

they are home AND NOT IN JAIL

more than likely your wrong, the one is eduated probably more than you, he just ran into some hard times, and unless you have walked in his shoes dont be so quick to judge, the pilot printed the wrong story, they never caught graham burning as he was in hospital, they caight Coe and because it was Grahams house he took the blame for that

I don't know the whole scenario, whether its drugs or just hard times but it sure is a shame to see two more lost souls in this county. It seems that theft of every kind is starting to be a pretty common occurance around here and its just sad to see.

Judging by these mug shots I have no doubt they are in this situation because of drugs. It would be a shame if they truly were released on bail. I hate to think of these hoodlums running the streets, stealing from other hard working, law-abiding citizens of Moore.

Recovering stolen goods before the owner even realizes they've been stolen, though, is pretty darn good police work.

its probably a good thing your not a judge then, there wer no drugs involved and I know Graham is not a drug user, get your facts before judging unless your GOD, and I am sure your not

I'm glad YOU know what was going on when they were caught. Perhaps the police need to speak to you as well.

yourit 2 years, 3 months ago

guess what, one of them wont be convicted becAUSE HE HAS NEVER BEEN IN TROUBLE BEFORE, DONT JUDGE PEOPLE BY WHAT YOU READ, THE PILOT PRINTED THE WRONG STORY, GRAHAM WAS NOT CAUGHT BURNING IN FACT HE WAS NOT EVEN HOME WHEN THE LAW SHOWED UP HE WAS IN HOSPITAL,, GOT PROOF, THEY CAUGHT COE BUT BECAUSE IT WAS AT GRAHAMS HOUSE HE TOOK THE BLAME,

Wow what morons. Sad story is I grew up with both of these idiots and honestly this comes as no surprise... The sad part of all this is Johnny Graham has a child, what a great role model, Christopher coe on the otherhand is a bad apple and should never be trusted and should be locked up for years, bothe men are a waste of oxygen and deserve no breaks, especially when given the previous criminal records of both suspects. Also you cannot blame the economy these two have been wheelin dealin and thieving as long as I can remember and it's about time they were caught, but as was said before they will recurve no harsh punishments nothing that will change them, get out of jail and continue down the road they have been going down...

2

yourit 2 years, 3 months ago

I DONT KNOW WHERE YOU GET YOUR FACTS FROM BUT JOHNNY GRAHAM HAS NO PRIOR CRIMINAL RECORD, EVEN LAW ENFORCEMENT STATED SO, SO WHO IS A WASTE, I GUESS YOU SHOULD GET THOSE FACTS BEFORE POSTING ANOTHER WRONG THING

0

yourit 2 years, 3 months ago

Before all you people judge these boys you aught to get the whole story, for one I know for a fact that graham no matter what his mug shot looks like is not into drugs, he needed to feed his family and unless you are in his cituation then dont judge, there is only one that can do that, second, the pilot should report actual facts, the sheriffs department did not catch graham burning, in fact he was not even there, he was at the hospital, the caught Coe burning. and guess agian I know Graham will not do time as he has never been convicted of any crime before, he was in a citiation where there is no jobs and his children needed food. grow up people. I am not saying what he did was right because it isnt but when you walk in his shoes then you will know what going hungry is about.

You know for a fact Graham isn't into drugs? So you are a close, personal friend of this man? You also seem to know the situation VERY well. This leads me to believe that you probably knew what they were doing. Your anger and quick defense of these guys would also lead me to believe that you were probably going to be on the receiving end of some of the funds made from the stolen goods. I don't feel sorry for either of these losers no matter what situation they may be in. Stealing from someone else to make a dollar for yourself is unacceptable.

He'll get no pity from me. I'm working my behind off everyday to feed my family. I have NO sympathy for someone who takes the easy way out--stealing from others--to 'feed the family'. They had $80k worth of stolen materials...where was he planning on taking the family to eat? Ironwood every night? It's called get a job or go to the food bank for assistance! DO NOT STEAL FROM OTHERS!

Ken711 2 years, 3 months ago

Couldn't agree more. The economic times are hard on everyone, but it's no excuse to steal under any circumstances.

0

None 2 years, 3 months ago

You don't break the law to feed your family. That is not an excuse for bad behavior. I know alot of dislocated workers who are just getting by but they are not breaking the law to feed their family. They pray to God and do the next right thing and it seems to work out. Don't use your situation for an excuse. Half of America is out of work they all are not committing crimes.

Wouldn't the unemployment rate need to be 50% before "half of America is out of work"?

0

None 2 years, 3 months ago

A scary as it is, the employment-to-population ratio is hovering very, very close to 50.

Behan,

Not to sound condescending, but that rate is meaningless. You can't count the ENTIRE population when calculating unemployment. Of course the tens of millions of children, handicapped, retired, etc. are unemployed.

0

None 2 years, 3 months ago

No condescention felt here.

Perhaps all the working handicapped may feel differently; as well as the many children who work part time and (sadly) full time; and people who retired, lost their pensions or portfolios, and are now looking to reenter the workforce. The condescention is probably palpable for these people.

But I'm fine, thanks.

JAP,

Yes, half is an exaggeration, but the unemployment rate (known as U-3) does not measure the number of Americans who are unemployed. Meaning, it's not the amount of people out of work divided by the able-bodied population in America.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) conducts a monthly survey to determine the amount of people who have a job and are actively seeking a job––combined it's known as "the civilian labor force". The number of people looking for a job divided by the entire civilian labor force is where the unemployment rate comes from. Many people have stopped looking for work, so they have dropped out of the labor force and are no longer counted in the unemployment rate (known as "discouraged workers"). So the unemployment rate doesn't take into account all the people who have given up looking for a job. Also, under this measurement if you have worked one hour in the past two weeks, you are considered employed (even though you are "underemployed"). The U-3 rate can be quite misleading because when it goes down, it could mean a whole bunch of people stopped looking for a job––which is very bad.

The U-6, however, is a bit more accurate measurement of actual unemployed. It counts the unemployed and underemployed, and divides that by the civilian labor force and discouraged workers. It's currently at 16.7 percent as of December, until January's rate comes out Friday.

it isn't my situation as I am employed, but unless you walk in the shoes of someone else you cAN KEEP YOUR OPINIONS CAUSE SOMEDAY YOU WILL DO WHAT YOU HAVE TOO,

0

None 2 years, 3 months ago

So where do you draw the line? Is bank robbery OK, how about armed robbery, burglary, carjacking? And what good would you do your family when you are in jail. Lawlessness and chaos would be the end result of your line of thinking.

0

None 2 years, 3 months ago

I wouldn't want to walk in their shoes.

Their shoes are full of melted copper.

Are you still here trying to defend this guy? So he fell on hard times...join the dang crowd. He opened himself up for all this public opinion and scrutiny the minute he decided to become a burden to society by stealing. You can defend him until your face is blue buddy but no matter what the circumstance HE IS A CRIMINAL. Got it?
