O'Neal Boys Win, Girls Lose

The O’Neal School boys’ basketball team edged Faith Christian on the road 45-41 Tuesday.
Charlie Johnson paced the Falcons with 20 points. Colin Jameson had nine while J.R. Moore added eight. Faith Christian was led by Caleb Freeman with 11 points.
On the girls’ side, Faith Christian beat O’Neal 39-30. The home team pulled away making 11 of 19 free throws in the final quarter to seal the win. Mary Dixon had a team-high 11 points while Magge Jackson had five, Alessandra Tozzi had four, Marve Bartiss had three and Maura Thornton, Mary Winston Dozier and Katherine Wooddell each had two.
Katelyn Edmisten and Ashley Sweeney led Faith Christian with 11.
O’Neal returns home Friday to play against Fayetteville Academy.
