Pinehurst Police Make Arrest in Home Burglary

Pinehurst police have arrested a Southern Pines man and charged him in connection with a home burglary at the Spring Lake Hills Condos in Pinehurst.

Tyrone Marquis Daniels, 22, was arrested today and charged with two counts of first degree kidnapping, two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and one count of first-degree burglary.

He was in the Moore County jail on a $75,000 secured bond with a court date of March 2.

The incident happened in the early morning hours of Jan. 9.

At that time, police said three suspects broke down the door and attacked two people inside, forcing a male into a closet and assaulting a female.

Police said the arrest was made based on information provided by witnesses and other evidence related to him being at the scene.

Police said the investigation continues and asked that anyone with information about the incident to call the Pinehurst Police at (910) 295-3141 and ask for Detective Carpenter.
